They are a heck of a lot cheaper than other underwater LED's and I was curious if you get what you pay for here.

Anyone try these or have any thoughts on them? I would like to try them but if they don't work out, I don't want a bunch of screw holes in the hull of my boat.

How about some double face tape for a slow cruse in the marina, no holes and no hard wiring for a temp mount and test. I was looking at these too but no time for a month to test them at night in the water

Just bought $230 worth of flexible LED strips. You will be able to spot me from space. I'll take pics when it's done.

I would want to submerse them and I doubt that the double sided tape would work.

I am planning on running them along the starboard side gunnel just under the vinyl liner, one under the gunnel where the cooler sits, one under each part of the "U" shaped seating. One under the front seat and one under the side of the front seat.

1-9.5"
4-28"
3-19"
1-38"

We'll see how it goes. I hope it's not overkill.

Well, my LED project is done. Here are some pics after the lights were on. It was probably the easiest project I have ever done on my boat because all the electrical was in place since I was merely removing the crappy LED's I originally installed and going with some quality ones. Just a note on Oznium, their products are great and really easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

Check it out.

We rarely get out at night either, but I did it anyway. I love it.

Woggy, your lights look awesome!!!

Fantastic! How did you finally attach the strips? Did you put some on your swim platform?

Looks real good Woggy. Where did you put the on/off switch?

I bought a switch that matched the ones currently on the helm and added in one of the extra spaces available.

Since we do ummm .... more tahn 50% of our boating at night, I'm on-track for some additional lighting, bot in the cockpit and in the water.

I enjoy seeing what y'all are doing......

I did end up attaching them with the double sided tape. I made sure to clean the surface with acetone first. The ones along the port side, I removed the vinyl liner board and placed them right along the line where the liner board stopped so that you can't see the strip, but the lights still show.

Thanks for all the compliments. Not sure when I will get to the rest of the project, which is putting some lights under the swim platform and in the air scowls on the sides but I will.

Hmm ..... in the side engine compartment ducts ..... interesting.

Should use green & red ........ probably something illegal about that though. May cause confusion with the stern light in just about the same place.

How about flashing blue ..... ehhh, no, I guess not.

Bright white! ........ Landing lights!

Just havin' fun, i think I like the idea.
