Hi,

When I turn on the ignition the temp gauge jumps to its max. Any idea if this is a sensor issue or a lose wire behind the dial? When I turn it off the dial seems to stop momentarily at the correct temp before dropping to zero. Also it seemed to start working for a short while after a swift knock. Help please, useless sparky here...

Cheers
Oliver

I would check the wiring. The temp sensor should be mounted on the stat housing. I would but a Seloc manual (I say this to everyone) its great info on everthing on engine & drive. It will even have the temp wire color code!
