Post subject:  Swim Platform LEDs Blowing Fuse

I have the factory under swim platform lighting on my boat. The lights were not working so I replaced the fuse. When I did so, it blew immediately, as it did on a subsequent attempt. I realize I probably have a short. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I troubleshoot this problem?

1st question... in the water, or dry?

You can't run underwater LEDs dry. Hopefully you didn't burn em out.

Not sure what you mean ric. I'm just saying that the boat is in on the trailer, not in the water.

And Walt, if you are asking if the lights are underwater, they are not.

I never turn them on unless I'm in the water. Also, the fuse is blowing immediately, not even giving the lights time to heat up.

If you are confused ric, then just ask for clarification instead of making stupid comments. That's not helpful.
It's really pretty simple. The lights don't work.

You stated you turned the lights on with boat on trailer not in water. Is that correct?
