finished my led lights for under the swim platform. used all 16 feet of waterproof led strip with a total of 3000 smd blue bulbs.
I cleaned surface and put a bead of 5200 and glued them to the underside. it worked great and I would have to pull very hard to get them off now.
let me tell you its bright
total cost
Lights: $22.00
1/4 tube of a cartridge of 5200
2 heatshrink connectors
1 foot of wiring to my existing underwater lights
about 1 hour of time

That's awesome! I think we might try to do some platform lights next year when I have her out over the winter. Great job!

Nah, I think it's more fun upgrading/modifying boats of our vintage than new. I love the look on peoples face when I tell em its a 96' after they thought it was a lot newer. The last bit of 90's left on mine is the dentist office waiting room fabric on the cushions in the cuddy. Those will be upgraded soon... 8)

I know what you mean, no one ever believes the year when I tell them, unless they are a very familiar with Four Winns

got them from this buyer on ebay
http://stores.ebay.com/AutopartWholesale

but make sure they are waterproof with 3m self adhesive, even though you should glue them.
and that it is the 600smd per meter it makes a big difference
