Post subject:  Engine Warning Kit Install

Hi all,

Planning on fitting a Cole-Hersee (M40177BP) warning buzzer kit to my 5.7GL over the winter break.

Any installation tips (sensor locations) would be greatly appreciated, if anyone else has fitted one?

Cheers.

I cannot help a lot, but last winter installed a similar system after overheating an engine and then rebuilding it.
I put in a temperature switch, the same buzzer, and an LED light in the gauge cluster.

In my mind the biggest problem is where to put the sensors.
On my engine -- an EFI engine -- all the normal locations seemed to be used.

I ended up putting the temp sensor in place of a large plug on the water pump itself --
I am not sure if this is a good location and have my doubts.

Good luck on yours.

Thanks for the response, mate.
Might you be able to take a photo of the location you're referring to?
Did you fit a low oil pressure switch?

Cheers.
