Well, this weekend my volt gauge took a crap. Reading 14.5 at the alternator so I'm charging fine. Any ideas? I haven't tested the gauge yet (not at the boat). Just curios if anyone's had a similar issue. Thanks all |

Connections are always the first to go, I'd start there and then troubleshoot my way to the gauge itself. |

If it's a Faria(should be) and you find the gauge is bad, they have a really nice exchange program. I sent them in my voltmeter and got a new one shipped back for around 20 bucks. |

Mine also reads one volt low. These gauges are not particularly accurate so it makes sense to verify the voltage a the helm with a digital voltmeter. |

one volt low is normal due to voltage drops in small diameter wire over 15-20ft |
