I searched the forum regarding LED bulbs but most post on this subject are relatively old. Has anyone found a deal on LEDs lately (G4 & Wedge in particular)? http://www.SuperBrightLeds.com and http://www.marinebeam.com have some good products but I would rather not have to shell out $120 to change the light bulbs in my boat. Thanks.

Of course it's been awhile but I don't think I paid more than a few dollars each at superbright. All my helm bulbs are these, in red, for $.99/ea.:

You have more to replace than me, and I don't have any G4's.

That is a good price for the Wedge LED but since SuperBrightLeds was so expensive on the G4s, a search on another boat forum led me to http://www.shop.ledwholesalers.com where I could purchase a G4, warm white with 140 lumens for $2.50 each. I ordered 14 G4s and 4 blue Wedge LEDs for a total of $43 (+ $7 for 2-day shipping). After I pulled the trigger, I realized I could have gotten free shipping on orders over $50 so I just screwed myself out of a few extra bulbs.

Oh well. It'll look great when it's done!

OP here. I just wanted to follow-up and let those who research this subject know that the G4 LED bulbs I ordered for the cabin fit fine and the warm white 1.5W 140 lumen look great but if I ever do this again, I would go with 120 lumen so it wouldn't be as bright (at least in the cabin, that is).

I also replaced the cockpit arch with the G4 warm white 1.5W 140 lumen and then the cockpit courtesy lights with blue LEDs and they fit fine as well. I was able to convert the 13 halogen G4 & 4 halogen Wedge bulbs to LED for $50 so not bad.

Any chance you can post the direct link for the cockpit courtesy bulbs. I have never had mine apart and am unsure which type they are.

I have the ITC Oval Courtesy Lights and I was able to use the same fixture (use the tape trick to pull the halogen bulb out)

I chose the 194 T10 6 SMT LED Wedge in blue and here is the link: http://shop.ledwholesalers.com/index.ph ... arch=wedge

Mike, did you ever post a breakdown of what lights you replaced with LEDs? Having a H240, I figured I'd reap the benefit of your research and experience!
