| Post subject: | Hooking underwater lights to dash switch |
I bought a drain plug Light, I put a disconnect so I can remove the plug if needed without taking the wiring down. I don't have docking lights. It I do have the dash switch for them. When I hit the docking light switch the switch light comes on. I would like to hook my UW light to this switch. Has anyone done this? I haven't decided on where I will ground it yet. Seems pretty straightforward since there is already power to the switch. |

I've done a similar install. Under the dash you may find a fuse block, there is a negative bus bar here to ground to. As for the power, make a female end on the wire and push it onto the back of the docking light switch for positive power and you're good. Enjoy. |
