I'm looking at a 1000W Xantrex inverter to install in the cabin next to the microwave. I've found that while away from the dock, I'd like to make a pot of coffee or heat up a snack in the microwave when anchored out there. I'm not interested in fully being functional but just to get by. I don't think I would use more than two items at the same time, however, maybe the laptop charger. The zantrex looks nice and would fit nicely where I want to put it. I know that it is a modified sine wave, but it should meet my needs. Anyone got any ideas or thoughts? |

Will that be enough to run the microwave? When I'm using our generator(6200 watt) during a power outage, the microwave(1500 watt) really pulls it down. |

It's a basic micro wave. I not sure of the wattage. It's still on board and in storage. I'll be pulling it out in three weeks. But, I believe it is under 800W. |
