Anybody know the make of the FW factory installed 50A circuit breaker used to protect Helm (House) wiring? ![]() Pay no attention to the shadow badly needing a haircut. |

Did you try removing it? It probably has some identifying marks on it. With those in hand, you can probably get one from someplace like Mouser. |

Breakers are pretty common. I'm not sure I'd get once from Mouser. I'd prefer sticking with one at least claiming to be for a marine application (which Mouser may indeed carry). I'd pop that panel loose and take a look at it. Pull it out and take it to a local marine store. They ought to be able to set you up with an effective replacement. Did yours go bad? |

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply going with non-marine. I was trying to point to a source for an exact replacement. |

I looked in the schematics. It listed almost every manuf, and such for nearly every switch. No mention of the above breaker though. ![]() |

No, mine didn't go bad. Also, I can't pull it to take a look as it's 200 miles away in storage. I decided I wanted another one when I realised that the 50A fuse I was going to use to protect the wiring for the amplifier I'm going to install is not ignition protected. I was struck with the idea of matching the OEM 50A breaker and panel. I thought if the source was known I could get them cheaper, and perhaps without labeling. I'll likely just order a set from my dealer. I plan to mount the new breaker and panel for the amp over right above the existing breaker panel protecting the helm wiring. A blatant DYI attempt to appear OEM. Just hope it's not too pricey. |
