Hey guys, I just had a new 5.7l motor replaced in my 1997 Horizon 180, had it out this weekend on Lake Erie and it ran great, my old motor had a mechanical fuel pump on it and the new motor had to have an electric fuel pump. I wanted to see if a fuel pump gets hot will it keep the boat from starting? when i was cruising around it ran great, however we stopped and relaxed in the cove and when i went to start it, it sputtered then stalled out. I wasn't sure if the pump was hot so i poured some lake water on it, also checked all the connections to make sure everything was tight, Tried it again and it started. anyone had any issues like this?
