Here is a pic of the wired remote I installed in the anchor locker. We beach the boat alot and now were can control the basic functions of our recently installed upgraded stereo thats IPOD compatable.

Looks great!

That's a great idea too. Question -- if you have a bowrider, why didn't you just put it somewhere that anyone sitting in the bow while underway could get to it?

I like the anchor locker for being a little better protected from the elements!

The idea was to be able to control it while standing on the beach. I didn't want it inside the bow because the kids would be messing with it while were underway. It's a control issue, I am the Skipper after all.

Totally understandable.

On our H240 - I had a wired remote installed on the port side for the real skipper in my boat -- the admiral. I'm just a captain.

So are you not concerned about the ancor knocking it off when stowing, or just in waves?

The anchor has snaps holding it down so it doesn't fly around in the locker if its choppy. There is plenty of clearance between the remote and anchor while removing or stowing also.
