Hey all...just want to get a few opinions from other owners. I want to add on onboard charger at some point during this off season and wonder what you guys have experience with. I am specifically looking at a 2 bank charger to charge/maintain 2 Group 27 batteries. Tell me what you have, what you think about it and if you dont mind...what you paid for it. |

I've used a Battery Tender. I got a double one for about 150, so it can charge two batteries at once. This is my first season with the boat, but I plan to connect it in storage. Based on how it works on the cars and motorcycles, I assume it'll work just fine. |

I use the ProSport 20, 2 output charger which charges, then maintains the batteries. So far so good..... West Marine sells them, but so does Cabellas last time I looked. |

I had a Promariner dual bank in my H200SS. Picked it up on sale at Fleet Farm for $89.95. Don't think you have a Fleet Farm down your way though, but they do now have a website, but I don't think it shows there sale items. I plan on getting another one for my new boat. Left it in my FW cuz the new owner made me as part of the deal. http://promariner.com/productFeature.ph ... tNum=31310 |

Can fry eggs on the top of this thing. It works well, but I'd probably recommend you go with others recommendations, just cause this thing gets so hot. ![]() |

There was another thread on this not long ago. IIRC ProMariner seemed to be the brand with the most positive posts. |

For my anniversary, the Admiral bought me a Pro Mariner ProSport 12. I got it put it on Wednesday, 95% complete. I need to get some wire loom to cover the wires I ran and then I will be done with that project. I also had to add a 5ft wire extention to get to the battery on the other side. I mounted mine in the same place as Impulse has his. It just seemed to make sense to have it there. I would have it on right now, BUT all the damn extension cords we own are connected to Christmas lights...lol. |
