I've used Perko in all three of my boats. Absolutely no complaints. I have never even heard of Blue Sea (not to imply it's an inferior product). |

Thanks for the information. When looking into battery switches Blue Sea was another brand that I saw. Here is a link to the company if you wanted to see what their product is like. http://bluesea.com/category/1/products/9001e200 I had a Perko switch on a previous boat and had no issues however that was about 10 yrs ago so didn't know if there was a new Sheriff in town. ![]() Blue Sea http://bluesea.com/category/1/products/9001e200 |

Blue Sea is top-notch stuff. But Perko is good too. Either will be fine. |

My $.02.....If you can put your hands on both, I would suggest considering where and how it is to be installed. The Blue Sea disconnect looks like it may not be easily rotated unless you are "straight-on". I know the Perko's are easy to operate from otherwise difficult angles. Also, the red stands out a little better. I've taught the GF to throw the disconn if there is a fire. |

I think I will go with the Perko switch. Seems like this is the most commonly used switch and everyone swears by it. I was looking at the installation information online and it looks pretty simple. Any tips or suggestions when installing on my H190? I want to keep my auto bilge so I figure I would keep that wired directly to the 1st battery. |

I went the Blue Sea Systems 'Add a Battery' route - this kit includes an isolator and Switch, so both batteries are charged by the alternator - no remembering to change the switch to ensure both batteries are fully charged. Works great. Some detail on my install is here (towards the bottom): http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1956 |
