I've been stopped for having them on underway and told I needed to turn them off. But mine are brighter then your average underwater leds, because all 100+ leds are mounted under the platform. I would have got stopped if they were not on anyway, but that was the reason they stated at the time.

Txjole2, you probably were stopped since they are red. I spoke to a dealer about this issue when mine were installed. He said that you are able to run with underwater lights if they are blue, but not red or green since they are the same colors of your navigation lights. I didn't ask about white though. Also, I did ask an officer at my marina, he said that sounded correct, but he didn't sound quite sure. But he did say since mine were blue, I should be fine since the blue should not be mistaken for nav lights.

Not sure if offshore rules are any different.

I asked about that and was told only nav and running light can be displayed outside the gunnel while in motion.

Joe...did this happen on Lewy or Hubbard?

As promised here are some pic's of the Lumitec Seablaze3's at night! They are a little blurry so I'll try to post better pic's when I get them. I have to say these lights have exceded my expectations by far! When they are on there is a huge halo of light not only in the back of the boat, but the light because of reflection actually makes it way up past the helm! We also shot video of it to see if underway it looked like the youtube video link I linked to in the first post.....close enough :D

Looks great Ben. I took some pics of mine over the weekend, but it will be tomorrow before I get them posted.

Lake Monroe.

Water was a bit cleaner than last time I was out there, but no where near Lake Michigan clean.

These last two do not do it justice, although not as bright as Bliss36's, for the money spent, they are not bad at all. We were idling to our slip from another dock and the admiral took these, there was a bit of ambient light though so the shot was messed up.
