I know we covered this, but couldn't find the thread. I need to find some battery post covers that are USCG approved. I really don't want to use a battery "box" due to removing the current tray etc. etc. After checking Google, I didn't see any that cover the screw terminal and post like my interstate Group 27 cranking has.

I had bought mine at the Local Napa store for less than $6.00. Sure beats a fine. :wink:

To avoid any future fines or hassle with covers I removed my trays and put my two batteries in boxes.

I've never heard of this before.
Is this law in all states or just some.
I don't think it's law in Canada. Anyone know.
I was just stopped last week by the Police and they boarded and gave me thumbs up.
I think they just wanted to check my boat out because the officers kept saying what a cool boat.
