Well, I've gotten ideas from people here, and got great results. So, I thought I'd share! These are the LEDs I installed. I used the Ozniums like Impulse. I got the dimming (and flashing) remote from them, too. All together, under $200 with great shipping and super high quality! These photos are with the dimmer on the brightest setting, and were taken in dark, under the cover, so in almost complete darkness. The brightness seems perfect. Not too bright, easy to see things, and see where you are walking. The dimmer works perfectly, and so do the flashers, although I'd never use them. These were very easy to install. If you try this, I have an F224, and used all of a 50 foot roll of wire. Those with good eyes will see I also installed the Polk speakers everyone thinks so highly of. I think they are an excellent upgrade, and will probably add an amp later.

You can do it! It was really easy. It did take about three or four hours, but most of that time was making room and splicing wires together. There is an open spare fuse under the helm, so you don't even have to be very creative to find power.

Go for it!

Thanks! We splashed today, and I can't wait to get out there in the dark to see how it all looks! Wow, it's really nice to get out there this time of year when there are hardly any boats out! Had a great shakedown cruise, a few beers, and no problems!

Do you have a wiring diagram that you followed? Did you run them all to the helm and then spliced them together or did you connect them together as you went around? Did they come with enough wire or did you buy extra?

I used about 50 feet of two strand wire. I wired them basically all together. I mounted the remote controller under the helm, with the wires going to the fuse block. I was able to find a connection that always has power, plus the ground block. Then, I just fed the wire around the boat in the most logical way. It's easy. Just make sure you pay attention to + and -. They only work when wired one way. The remote was an extra 35 or 40 bucks. But, it allows me to keep the lights on while I cover it up, and turn them off just before the last couple snaps. Also convenient when stopping for food, leave the lights low or off until we come back.

Can you send a link(s) for the kit (or individual components) you bought to make it happen?
Can't believe how awesome that looks!
