I am Swedish and found this excellent page!! I hope to get some help from you guys.

I purchased my boat in South Burlington last autumn, got it shipped to Sweden in November and am about to put it on water in two weeks time. In Europe we have 230Volt and therefore I am using a transformer to take the voltage down from 230 to 110. When I connect the boat to shore power everything works fine except the Galvanic Isolator. The red light flashes "fault" no matter which of the switches on the control panel are activated. The boat is still on land. Anyone who has a suggestion for me?

I'm not realy into electronics but there are a lot of ghost stories on the net about working with shore power while docked.

Perhaps this is solution for you ?

This will replace your isolater and tranformer.
People tell this sollution is better because you have two completely separate systems.
