Hi,

We are looking into a FW 268 with no/gen. As we never owned a like boat, we are just curious at to how long can the batteries on a boat like this power, light, refrigerator, and the sound system provided we are not using the AC?

How often do the batteries need to be replaced and are they specific to the boat/model or are they widely available? (the reason we are asking is that we are sending the boat to Europe)

Thanks

We keep the boat moored and the batteries always topped off. If we are out on the weekends with the fridge running and listening to music during the day we can go 4.5 days. If we watch TV or use the inverter much cut a day off of that. I have 1 group 31 starting battery and 2 6v golf cart batteries in series for the house. When I had the standard group 27 house and start batteries it was 2 days max 1.5 if we watched TV. If you are getting more than 2 days out of just the standard 12V batteries check your isolator to make sure your house and starting battery are separated.
