Just introduced by Aqualuma this past week, The FF9 is the latest in underwater boat lighting. The FF9 is quite compact, at five inches long and three inches tall. It’s a mere three-quarters of an inch thick. All you have to do is run a pair of screws into the transom (hardware is included, and it’s packaged with a drilling template) and drill a 1/4″ hole for the cable. The light’s housing is notched, so you can run the cable out of the housing and up the transom without drilling below the waterline, should you choose. Unlike some other underwater lights this cluster of 9 LED’s can operate either above or below the waterline, and it can run on either 12 or 24 volts with a draw of less than 1.4 amps. The FF9 is available in green, blue, or white.

I like the idea of not drilling holes below the waterline. As like anything that is easy to install, and of good quality, it will cost you. List price is about $600.

No idea about the $140 one and how compares. The one I posted was just something new, not that I recommend it, or that it is the best. There are probably dozens of different lights and ways you can add LED lighting to your boat/swimplatform. It's a matter of what you want, how you are with installation, and how much you want to spend.

This is a new one that is about as easy to install as they come. Perfect for bowriders.

That is a really nice idea to combine it with the drain plug. Reasonable price too. Hmmm, thinking of one of those and the Oznium strip LEDs under the extended swim platform. That would probably be real nice.
The SeaBlaze3s look to be similar. Does anyone have photos of the SeaBlaze or OceanLED in the water?

It would make a nice nightime swim in Maine this summer.
