Any 248 owners replace their original stereo head, and with what model will fit. I plan on doing the install
myself. Current stereo is "very" tired. Thanks

Most of these heads are a standard size. I just replaced the Sony head in my boat last year. I went to there web site and download the manuals from the old radio and the one I wanted to buy. I wanted to see if both head were the same size and that the connectors would fit. Since both were Sony's, it was simple to disconnect the old and connect the new head. It was about 15mins of work.

I used http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT700HD ... and%7cSony

•built-in HD Radio tuner
•remote control / wireless
And a USB port!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take you'er USB drive, load it up with music and it will play for hours!!! Put NO more that 500 songs per folder, more than that it will only see the first 512 songs.

Thanks for the info, now if only I could get in the boat to see what exact stereo it has in it. Unfortuntely it is surrounded by 6 foot
frozen snowbanks left by the snowblower. Plus it is tightly covered dark and has no battery in it. This winter was "is" brutal. Where is
spring? Not to mention that I can still walk on the lake. Going to boston show on Sat to try to get my sanity back.

I will be at the show on Sunday. I am picking on a new radar from Atlantic Towers. They are using mine as a display model.

Were in Mass. are you from??? I keep my boat in Winthrop and do most of my boating in Boston's outer harbor.

Good luck

Paul
I live out in Charlton, near Sturbridge. I keep the boat in my backyard on Glen Echo lake.
Someday when the boys grow I will have a "bigger" boat at a marina somewhere in RI or CT. I
have a buddy in Winthrop, I have also fished in that area, great boating and fishing. I'll
check out your radar at atlantic towers.
Nick

Try to join a yacht club!!! It is a lot cheaper!!!! Join NOW so you have the seniority for when the "boys" do grow up. At the Winthrop Yacht Club, there is a 2 to 3 year waiting list just to join and another 3 to 4 year waiting list for a slip. At $23 a foot, you can see why. The Cottage Park Yacht Club in Winthrop is more money and a shorter waiting list. BUT the WYC has more to offer!!! I WISH SOME BODY TOLD ME THAT YEARS AGO!!
