Heres an idea if you want to go to this much work. Install a spring loaded push button in dash. Break 1 of the wires going to the alarm through the push button. push button when starting to silence alarm, after engine starts let go of button and alarm will sound if it needs too. Make sure you wire it correctly. test once in awhile without pushing button make sure alarm sounds.

Thinking outside the box. I like that!

That makes total sense awesome tip. I only heard that noise twice since I am a new boater but jeez wth were they trying to do wake the dead! It's a very annoying sound and it goes off three times when I turn the key. Going to try that doorbell technique it sounds fairly easy to install and that would definitely keep the kids from getting disturbed while they are sleeping. 8) Joe from Miami
