I have a 2000 Horizon 170 with a 90 Johnson. I have these weird electrical issues where I have to turn the key serveral times before it will start but now it won't start at all. I replaced the battery with a know good one so that's not the issue. I also had the ignition switch replaced as well with no luck. Before I go any further let me just say that I know next to nothing about fixing outboard motors but love my boat. If some one could tell me what I should be looking for or point me in the right trouble shooting direction I would really appreciate it, thanks.

Its time to start checking/cleaning EVERY ground wire on the boat, specifically those at the starter/helm etc....

Thanks very much for the quick response. Do you know where I can a wiring diagram? I bought the boat used about 3 years ago and it did not come with any manuals.
