Post subject:  h180 Volvo alarm problem

I have a h180 with volvo 3.0
and when i tried to start the boat the alarm still worked...
I checked everything that can cause that like temperature, oil pressure oil level and everything was OK...
I decided to take off the cable from the sensor in the left side of engine and the alarm stop and i use the boat for 30 hours without problem
now when i finally winterize my boat i like to repair..Did i need to change the sensor or have someone have idea what can cause this?
Thank you
sorry for bad english
im from europe...
And i know its bad to run the boat without this alarm but i not have a volvo dealer in my country so i must buy parts from US...

Yes, sounds like the sensor is bad, so I'd just buy one in the US and replace it over winter.

I buy my VP parts from http://www.marinepartsexpress.com/ and they ship to me in Australia with no problems at all. Much cheaper than buying in Europe or Australia and better service! They have all of the diagrams and part numbers on their web site so it's really simple to get the right part the first time.
