Get a DC zap when you touch it. Time to dig in and find out witch mounting screw is hitting some juice. Oh so fun... |

All breakers off and turn the battery perko switch to on. I did not think the juice would carry through the fiber glass and gel coat. Am I wrong? |

Don't get zapped anywhere else, not even the windshield from which is less then 1/2" away. |

How about the wires for the trim on the throttle control, are they anywhere near the mount for the bimini in the coaming panel? I used to get a shock when I trimmed down and was holding the metal steering wheel, a wire for the trim system was grounding on the throttle handle and when I touched both it completed the path to ground (sort of) enough to get a tingle. I took the handle off and repaired the bare spot in the wire and never got a shock again. The handle itself must not be grounded or else it would have probably blown a fuse. |
