I decided last weekend to upgrade my bow light for two reasons, efficiency and safety. The old light got so hot I felt it wasn't safe for people sitting in the front seats. I know that when I've leaned over the bow to hook the winch strap up it's gotten me so I decided it was time to change it out. My running lights are now all LED's. This is the fixture I decided on, http://www.walmart.com/ip/LED-BI-COLOR-BOW-LIGHT-WH/11071198, the Attwood 3520W7. It's the all white version, the chrome/black is more common but that just doesn't fit the look of my boat, or most other boats. Using Wallyworlds sit-to-store shipping I got the light for less than $30!

Finished installation
I had to drill new screw holes as the new light only used two screws. There is 3/4" wood backing in this location. Of course I used SS screws and a dab of silicone to seal every thing up.
Walmart site-to-store took eight days to arrive but that's better than the 15-22 they said it would be.
