So now that my intemediate transom seal is redone and the lake stays where it should, I'm back to dealing with electrical issues..

Found a purple wire that was missed when I installed the altenator figured this may be my issue, no idea where it was to go so I tried it on each of the 2 altenator posts it would fit on, in both cases the motor will start fine, still only getting 12.7V at my battery problem is the boat would not shut off using the ignition or the emergency kill switch.

Enlarged the eye-hole on the connection and tried it on both the positive and negative altenator connections, negative the boat will not start, just tripps the ignition reset, with positive again it will run but will not shut off.

There is no other spot for this stupid purple wire to hook up to so right now I have disconnected it alltogether and am back where I started, engine fires no problem runs smooth but I'm not getting the output I should from my altenator...

Anyone dealt with this before, seems strange to have a wire that is set up with an eye connection and a rubber moisture protection boot on it....

apparently it just needs to be isolated....

PUlled it back into the rubber boot and ran for 3 hours today accessories running, idle, cruising speed etc... and when I shut it down it fired right back up and battery reads 12.49v so obviously it's charging as it should...

kinda stumped but glad it's working as it should...
