Electrical debugging is all about time and procedure. Start at each item and track back to find where the problem is happening.
Obviously the first place to start with the lights is the bulbs, make sure they're working (usually most easily done by just swapping out the bulb into a socket that's already working). If that doesn't work then go to each switch and make sure it has power.
For the stereo you're working your way out from the head unit, making sure it's actually producing sound. Then trace the audio to the amp (if there's one present) and on to the speakers.
It's possible the hatch lift motor needs replacing, they do wear out over time. But start by making sure the battery voltage to it is sufficient. Are the batteries showing at least 12v?
Low voltage might also explain a slow wiper. One that doesn't work could be a bad or stuck motor.
