When our boat was much younger, my dad found Igloo "Picnic Basket" ice chests that were a perfect fit under the rear seats. I still have one of them although it's missing the handle, the plastic seam on the bottom of the chest is starting to tear, exposing foam insulation, and a rat chewed along a contour line on one half of the lid.

I want to get another and possibly replace the one I have but no one seems to make them anymore. The trend these days is soft chests that fold up but don't hold ice nearly as long. I found the "Picnic Basket" on eBay labeled as vintage but these people are idiots to think they're going to get $40+ and then $50 for shipping...I don't want it that bad.

So, what is everyone else doing these days for under the rear seat ice chests?

Buy the soft bag cooler. Then get the foil hot/cold bag from Wal-Mart. Place all your ice and stuff in the bag and then into the cooler. Bag won't leak/sweat and everything stays good and cold.
The foil bags really do work good.
Plus all this is foldable/moldable to your storage space.

I picked one of these up for under the seat of the pontoon last summer. Works great!

I bought one of those coleman stack-able coolers as well, they work great. You can get pretty close to a matching color too.... I specifically bought red to match my red accents on the bow rider.
The only thing i don't like is the lids don't stay shut that well so you have to be careful if its in a spot that can catch the wind while you are driving. I used to stow it under a seat like the OP was looking for so it worked great for me.
Vinyl coolers don't hold the cold in as well as a double wall plastic cooler. Even cheap plastic double wall coolers are pretty good.

I know this is older post but I'm bored....i got the Coleman stackable cooler similar to the ones in the links above...they aren't really ice chest but work well enough under seat and out of direct sunlight....got mine at Academy few years ago.

The soft coolers can't hold bottles....the ridges on bottle caps poke small holes in the cheap vinyl....ok if cans only but I threw all my soft coolers away since they all leaked.
