Busacharger - I just ordered a mooring cover for my H240. I'm wondering if what you have is what I'll be getting?? Actually, I was thinking i would receive the standard mooring cover and was going to cut and stitch velcro to allow for my SS arch connections. What you have is exactly what I need, but for the 240. I did not know FW made such a thing... I sent my dealer your pic and asked if they could get this for my boat.... Thanks!

Call FW.... I know they have 'em for mine (210SS w/wakeboard tower) and Busacharger's boats. Surely for the 240 as well. I ordered mine through the dealer when taking delivery of my boat. It was shipped direct from FW a few days later.

Thanks guys, just had my dealer confirm it is available for the 240, 100 bucks more than the standard cover, but will save me from becoming a seamstress to learn how to cut and sew the arch connections.

Cheers.

Glad that you where able to get the cover you wanted, at a good price also. I think that the 2008 FW brochure actually shows the cover on a 240. I'm sure you'll like it as much as I do mine.

When I was looking for my 240, the mooring cover was not available with the cut outs for the arch. However - I believe the trailering cover is.

The trailering cover is very well constructed and I would recommend that over the mooring cover if you plan on using it as your every-day cover and you trailer your boat.

Check with Ryan @ Winnisquam Marine - he'll get you set up with a great price - and no sales tax (if you live in an area that charges sales tax)

Any body else have experience with the Four Winns trailering cover? I am considering ordering one.

Mine's gotten one summers worth of use and never had any problems. Protected the boat very well in a severe downpour. Never come loose during highway travels and we went to quite a few different lakes last summer. I'd recommend it.

Do you have the cockpit and bow covers too? And can you put the bimini in the "trailer" position with the cover on? No sign of rub on the gel coat anywhere?

Congrats, those trailering covers look real nice in black. I don't trailer enough to justify the $750 I was quoted, but if I did that's the one I'd get.

BTW -this is the mooring cover:

Chris from Winnisquam Marine quoted me $816.00 plus shipping for a Black '08 H240 trailering cover.

I hoping for cheaper, but after looking at Impulse's boat, I have to get one!

For a good quality cover, that's not very spendy at all!

Spoke to my local Four Winns dealer a couple days ago. He quoted me $795 for the mooring cover. However, I found one on iboats.com that's custom made out of sunbrella material with a 5 year warranty for $679. I need to make this decision by next week if I'm gonna have it in time for the season.

Just remember that there is a HUGE difference between the mooring cover and trailering cover.

If you trailer your boat - get the trailering cover. If you slip your boat all year long - you just need the mooring cover.

I do. I like to use them for overnight stays, when we wet slip at a marina. I also snap on just the bow cover early in the season for a little extra wind protection. For long trips I always tow with the bimini in the low position. With the trailering cover, no signs of rub on the gel coat. The trailering cover has a racheting mechanisim at the rear that allows you to crank the cover down very tight. My sig photo has the snap on covers in it, but here's another (larger) shot of the boat with them on.
