I seem to be getting water into the boat from grille for the horn. This horn is mounted on the starboard side under the helm.

Is there supposed to be something behind the grille to seal it? I don't mean a gasket around it but some sort of plastic membrane to let sound through but keep water out?

I know my horn has a plastic film behind grille covering the horn. Not sure if all boats are the same though. Mine is up on the front of the bow.

I noticed that white plastic looking membrane covering the stock drop in Fiam horn when I replaced it with a dual horn Fiam unit. The dual horn did not have the membrane. I haven't noticed a problem with water coming in yet, but there's no reason I shouldn't. Been thinking of calling over to Fiam to ask about the membrane.
