I have to get a new pump for our frest water system, it didn't work when we bought the boat and I found out the motor is shot.
Our boat only has one outlet at the sink, I may add a transom shower hose in the future.
The factory pump was a 4 piston, 3.3 gpm, flojet pump.

I went to West Marine to look at pumps. They have Jabsco pumps (which I found out Jabsco and Flojet are all made by ITT) in stock. A 3 piston 3.0 gpm and a 4 piston 4.3 gpm.

The flow rating of the 3.0 gpm is fine for what I need but I was wondering if the 3 piston would be noisier or possibly have more pulsation than the 4 piston.

Anybody have any experience with both?
