Post subject:  How is your Bimini top mounted?

I have just purchased a bimini top for my 1993 180 Freedom. The top is from Carver with Sunbrella fabric.
It would be really helpful if you have photos of your bimini top and how it is mounted to your hull/gunnels. I would appreciate any options/ideas. The model really doesn't matter.
Thanks for your help.

PS A few of you replied to my first question, but I changed tth title so that those whom already had bimini tops may reply. THX for understanding.

This is probably to far away, but it's the only picture I have access to that had potential to be helpful. You can barely see them, but there are some clips on the windscreen that the straps from the bimini attach to, they sit right between two of the snaps. This picture might be helpful for overall location ref.

Thanks Impulse. The placement of your top is very helpful. When it is open, does it cover the captains chair?
I could still use your help of others with photos of the placement of your bimini tops. I have to install my own in a few months and I have little idea where to place in on the hull. Your assistance will be most appreciated.

Here are a couple of shots with my bimini open that may help.

Here's another angle for you with it closed up.

Sort of. The front of the bimini (when open) kind of lines up with the top of the windshield or just slightly behind, if you drew a line straight up. I really wish it went further forward. I'm looking to see if I have a good side view with it open.

I finally got my bimini top installed this past week it takes time and preparation, but I'm really happy with the results.

That looks really well done Sketch. Good triangulation on the straps.
If you find that they buzz in the wind, take the hooks loose and put a couple turns in the straps.

Thanks for the compliment nailhead. Since I took that photo, I have installed rear bars instead of the straps. I'm surprised how stable the top and straps are. I know that the stainless steel frame was hard to cut and rivet, but it may add to the rigidity of the whole thing.
The surprising thing is that I bought it on the net and I couldn't be happier with the web retailer and manufacturer.
