Hi guys,

On the website of Four Winns I saw an inflatable raft which could be extending your swim platform.

I think this could be very usefull while we have some small childeren 2 and 4, they can play in the open space since we are using the boat on open water.

What do you think of this accesoire of Four Winns or better does any of you guys have this thing already?

(I will post more info and pictures later on the board. )

My wife and I went down to Minneapolis this past weekend and saw the raft there. Looks huge and should be alot of fun. I think the price was something like $270 ?? Might be a bit steep for a floating air mattress, but certainly looks good and fun.

The original concept was for it to be permitally mounted under the swim platform to roll out when inflated and retract back under when deflated. Too many problems so now its a float you tie to your boat.

I haven't seen that so I may be off-base. But couldn't you just blow up your 2-3 man tube and tie it to the boat? Great double duty.

I think there are a couple of advantages on this raft comparing it with a tube sollution.
In the info from the website (the only info I got at this moment, more info is welcome) this package is includes an inflator, which is nice in that way you have an inflator which is able to give enough air to fill the raft.
An other thing is the open space but still cool in the water (oke a tube gives you this also).
This is a soft raft, a tube or other rafts have a nylon "coat" which is pretty hard for the young ones ( i guess ) and I hope it fits nice to the boat (don't like the idea that a 2 year old get stuck between the boat and the raft :S)

Does anyone of you have more info about this raft or pictures maybe behind a boat?
The only info the dutch dealer could give me is that he has ordered a few and they should be delivered in 4 weeks

Hit up a local Toys R Us in about a month when they mark down all their left over summer float toys. You can pickup up a lifetime supply of 6' lounger floats for that much. Heck, head over to Sears and grab a half-dozen Coleman 12vdc air pumps too and you'd still have a LOT of cash left over.

If you're on fresh water maybe you could keep a fancy float clean enough. But after two seasons on the Bay you really don't want to keep 'em around.

The biggest problem with large floats is just that, their size. It takes too long to get them inflated. And it adds yet another sets of tasks you have to perform when you're leaving.

But yes, that one does look nice. Not $300 worth, but still nice looking.

We found a similar raft at Sam's Club for $59. Seats 4 and came with a mini cooler and pillows.

I heard al of the comments but I like to see this as an extension of the boat. Instead of just a toy.

I contacted the dealer in the Netherlands but he said that his shipment will be there in 4 weeks.

Does any of you guys (in the USA) have an idea how I could get this raft earlier? Maybe direct from a local dealer in your area.

I heard someone here telling the price was like $ 270.- The Dutch dealer told me it would be €350,- , so there is some difference in price which could be filled up by transport costs.

(for your info: $270 = €187 and €350 = $444 )

how does it connect to the boat? To the platform, the supports or the boat itself?
