Thanks for the compliemnts guys...the LED's came prewired from ebay (Hong Kong) and the rods came from Home Depot. The rods were such a snug fir that I didnt have to use anything to secure them to the cupholders...they pretty much gripped themselves. I put a couple strips of electrical tape around the cupholder to "wedge" it into the boat. The wires are completely unseen since they are on the backside of the ring.

Another question. How deep did you go with the cuts?

Creativity at it's finest... awesome!

Looks excellent! I especially like the LED at the bottom to shine up through a water bottle.

EXCEPT - how often are those cup holders holding water bottles rather than shiny aluminum cans with a frothy beverage?

:D

My bad, you have the u-wrap seat in the 220. The 210 doesn't and has a rail that runs along the floor back to the rear bench that they put the rear cupholders in. I'm seriously thinking about adding a couple along this rail.
Sorry to get off topic again but, on another side note: Get this, I wanted the 220, but because of my height 6'8" I had to get the smaller boat. The 220 with the uwrap seats wouldn't allow me to move the driver seat back far enough to have the leg room. Phil Dill even called Four Winns to confirm they could move my drivers seat back a couple of extra inches from stock, to give me just a bit more leg/knee room and were able to, that wouldn't have been an option in the 220. First time in my life I think I had to buy something smaller to get something bigger.

The cuts aren't deep at all...I basically just touched the back half of the ring with the dremel. When u go too deep the ring gets very brittle.

I understand about the legroom on the 220... Luckily I'm only 5'10

Pretty. Two thoughts come to mind, is the plastic UV stable and will it withstand someone standing on the cupholder? Anywhere there's a flat spot on the boat you have to expect someone to stand on it at some point (hell, even the non-flat spots). That and stuff left out in the sun takes a real beating some UV rays and some plastic has a nasty tendency to become brittle and even splinter with sharp edges. Not that it's likely to happen inside of a single season, but something to keep an eye out against.

Very Impressive. I do not know for sure but I would guess that the mini blind rod does have a UV rating as they are exposed to sunlight when attached to a window covering. My question is did you cut the mini blind rod with the dremel tool before heating and bending into shape (When the rod was straight) or after the rod had been formed to the cup holder?

cuts were made after the rod was formed around the cupholder

Very nice job, it looks good.

I know a little about wiring, my question is how are you getting power to the leds? Are you running it from one of the batteries and do you have a switch installed??

For my LED set up, the guy ran power and ground and fused at one battery all the way around the boat. Then each LED pod I have installed was spliced into those main wires with this crimping/splicing type connectors so you can add more easily. I just had him wire mine to the windshield wiper rocker switch since i don't have that option.
