Has anyone installed a Cannon Down Rigger on the rear corner of this boat? The 180 I'm looking at to buy has a 120 Johnson outboard. the Cannon mounting base is only about 3 inches square.. There's got to be a good spot to install this.... am going to likely buy this boat this weekend and wondered if anyone had any experience installing one of these, the boat is not conveniently designed for easy install,, guard rail all around the boat and small corners and angles.. thanks for input..

I installed cannons on my 1999 180 horizon. I bolted a small piece of 3/4 inch angle alum. to the inside of the gunwale, that made it as wide as the mount. Then mounted the cannon mount on top. 2 bolts through the fiberglass and one through the top of the angle. I will try to go down my boat (in storage) this weekend and take a picture. I've had them for over 10 years and never had a problem.
