This is a big problem. My '07 H200 does the same thing. It is easier to swivel when seats are slid to the back position, but these seats are just too big and will rub on the vinyl trim. My passenger seat is tougher to rotate than the drivers side... I've always though that if they can be raised slightly on their posts that it would be easier to rotate, but I have not had time to fool with it. Bad design by FW and we are unfortunately stuck with it... :-(

I would copy the instructions found when I swapped the seats, but they seem more confusing than actually looking under the seat. Sun I looked under each seat, and found one retaining clip/screw holding them in. Remove the screw/clip with a short phillips screw driver and lift the seat straight up. I then switched p/s (so the handles are pointing inboard instead of toward the trim) and re-installed the screw/clip making sure the seat is secure. I find it is much easier to swivel the seats with the bolsters up and moving them slightly forward first, then rotating.

I'm hoping for your sake the '07 H210 and H200 use the same assembly.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the tips on photo upload - I used photobucket - super easy - well a heck of a lot easier than fixing a Swivel Seat...

Here are the shots - you can see in one the black tab that I am taking about - does this thing come out or should I just take the to the dealer.

Thoughts anyone?

I had the exact same problem on my H210 and after tinkering with it for an hour or so called FWs. They said that if that if the cable comes out of the keyhole slot it can not be repaired. I was a little incredulous, but they sent me a new assembly under warranty. I did not argue with them. Personally I think the seats leave some areas to be desired. As with the comments above, they are hard to work with, the levers get into hardspots and the cables stretch (or something) to the point that you have to put too much force on them and then the cable comes out. Hmmm.

Hope somebody is still reviewing this thread.

I have a 2007 H200. I would like to swivel the seats but notice that they hit the outer trim. Either seats are too low or trim is too high. Anybody found a fix for this yet. Maybe removing the trim will work. Maybe raising the seats somehow will work. I thought I would ask before I start taking the seats off.

Thanks

I have aftermarket seats in my old '88 so this may not apply, but I found that if the seats are slid back you can't swivel them, to do that you have to slide them forward. When they are slid backward they need more room to pivot sideways.
