Looking at this picture it looks like you could get the arch to go below the windshield but then the base of the arch sticks up above it.

At that point I think you would be better off splicing in some connectors into the harness and just removing the arch to get under the door. The arch on the 268 is very light and 2 people can handle it no problem...I've heard the 278 arch is heavier and may require more help to raise and lower it into place.
