I decided to pass on the yellow 2007 200SS at my dealer, so it's fair game to anyone! I'll put a posting up in the for sale section also, but here's the info:

Brand new 2007 200SS Horizon, yellow, Volvo 5.7 GI/SX 280 hp motor, SS prop, single axle trailer with disk brakes and aluminum alloy wheels. Original sticker: $44,545. He's got it on sale for $30,500!!!

Call Chris at: 269-327-3008. Tell them Jim sent you from ifourwinns, he'll know who I am. My wife and I are regular customers.

Hey that yellow one sounds like a good deal. I have not got one yet. I got a dealer that will get me a new one fully loaded with the 5.0 for 35900. I can put money down and then pick it up next year. They will not order it till feb or march so that might work. Although on a website someone have a 200 horizon forsale. It is tempting to buy used. Save a lot of money. The orange looks really good. Did that yellow one have the side exhaust?

Cdub - i would order a boat if the dealer will sit on it. I just noticed that between the time I ordered my 240 and now... less than 60 days -- that FW raised the price of the base boat/engine package about 500 bucks msrp as well as the stainless arch another 500 bucks...

60 days... msrp picked up 1000 bucks... crazy!

Rumor has it that FW also will do a price increase around Jan 1.... That seems to be the norm for most all manufacturers.

Good luck! If you can custom order your boat and get 25-30% off MSRP and not take delivery until spring - I'd lock that up in a heartbeat.

Speaking from experience, I'd order it in February at the latest to avoid any back order issues that threaten May boating.

yes, the yellow 200 SS with the 280 hp motor at my dealer has the side exhaust that can be switched to thru-prop for stealth running. From the high prices I've seen being paid on here for new 200 SS boats, this one is a steal no matter how far you have to drive to get it.

I know this is an older thread, and I am refering to the 210SS. So sorry for the late input.

I was fortunate enough to see the Black one with tower, stereo upgrade and 6.2 B1 side by side with the Yellow otherwise standard with the 350 mag B1. You can see the one I chose. The red is what I was after, but couldn't find it locally in an '07 close-out price.

My dealer and I got to do a few things most poeple don't. The Yellow 210SS had the 350 mag (300hp), the Black with the 6.2L (320hp), as well as the different stereos and tower/options. Otherwise, the hull was identical. We test drove these two back to back and I wanted to tell all the differences I observed. FWI- the tower/bimini/etc adds about 500 lbs according to the book.

Power:
On both I was able to hit 60 mph WOT at 5200 RPM. Planing speed was identical, and performance was very close overall. Acceleration was a little more "abrupt" with the 6.2 especially in the mid-speed range (from 25mph up). The 6.2 also sounded throat-ier across the whole band, especially in the mid-range.

Stereo:
I'm not a huge music buff but in the driver seat, I could hardly hear the tower speakers. However the sub-woofer definately made it's presence felt anywhere in the boat.

Color:
I haven't had it for the summer yet. However, it is not black in the spots I'm concerened about. I opted Not to have the swim platform mat because I figured it would get hot. Really, just the graphics, and dash are Black. The carpet is still the generic tan found in most boats. My only concern is the "shiny" gages on the dash. I like to cruise at night and this may be an issue.

I hope this info helps anyone comparing SS's.

Sweet, another KC member! Good luck with it. I wish I could keep mine here in town to enjoy on Smithville or one of the other in-town lakes.

What dealer did you go through?

Got any more pics?

Actually bought it down at the Ozarks. Village is the only authorized FW dealer in Mo. Funny enough, they were doing a boat show in KC the day I was down there test driving a few models.
Once I get it in the water, I'll get some pics/vid and sound cuts.

I like that pic!

That is the same dealer I bought mine from. I was unlucky enough to get a salesman who, though initial impression suggested otherwise, was a lazy @$$hole who didn't know anything. He is no longer employed there.

The service department has been better, so I'll keep my business there for now. Hopefully that continues to be the case.
