Furthermore Mike,

That's why I chopped it off, fitted a ball valve and a Gardena type garden hose male quick release coupling and a blanking cap ! Foolproof, I can even ask our Working Cocker Spaniel to connect it up (he won't for some reason, bone idle, never done a working day in his life !)

Excellent point. I always make sure that i have snugged that cap well when done running on the hose.
