Any tips from fellow (similar vintage) Horizon owners on how to stop water dripping on to the engine from the crappy designed engine hatch?
Whenever we sit/ sunbake on the hatch (while wet), the salt water runs down the back of the hatch, on to the back of the inlet manifold & continues to corrode downwards from there.
Is there meant to be a rubber seal of sorts that goes around the fibreglass (hi-lighted arrows in below picture)?

Don't know if there should be a seal there but you could get some automotive style drip edge and install it against that piece to channel the water down in the bilge. You putting on some stainless exhaust?

that might work, but I was thinking more of a trim piece that has a u shaped channel, like a door edge guard, that could be bent to fit that shape and then would channel the water across that opening and then down so it does not drip on the engine.
how do you like the Hi Tek headers? I have OMC one piece cast iron ones and I like that there is no joint to leak, but you can't get those any more.

I'll hunt around my local auto parts store/s for a seal, thanks.
The Hi-Tek headers perform flawlessly and fit/ finish is like OEM.
I'm hoping these will be the last set of manifolds I'll ever buy on this boat.

no seal on my 97, but I boat all fresh water, so never bothered me.
