More and more I see Arches and Wakeboard tower on new Horizons I starting to like them and considering for my boat.
We use camper canvas often since here in North East it can get chilly quick and camper canvas really extends our boating season. Also it is a nice thing to have when we get stuck in rain shower on the way back from day trip.
Here is a issue, As far as I know, FW does not offer tower/arch and camper canvas together for Horizons (240 and 260) so if I get a FW tower/arch, I have to get a custom made campers canvas from 3rd parties. If I get a FW campers canvas I have to get a custom made tower from 3rd parties (If they can build such a thing) I hope FW will come out with combination product soon but I like to know other people’s opinion on these ….

My thought.....
I lived in Connecticut for 3 years, so I can relate.
First, move to a warmer climate, then just use a bimini.

I would definately question your dealer on it. Not sure about the 240/260, but if you look at the canvas page on the FW site, they do show a 310 with a tower and camper canvas. It just might fit with the tower.

If not, how about the convertable top/full canvas? That I have definately seen in my marina on a 240 with the factory tower. We have the same problem with cool air for half the season here up north, and the full top on our 180 does the job (of keeping us warm) quite well.

I am positive about they can not go on together on H240 or H260. However, H310 is not a problem.
Convertible top is only available up to H220 so I am just keep dreaming about it for now.... :(

I would think the arch would be the better route to go. On my 220, the arch and bimini are completely independent and it is the same bimini as the 220 that has no arch. On the other hand, I believe the wakeboard tower has a special bimini with it. This leads me to believe that it would be easier to integrate a camper canvas type setup with an arch than with a wakeboard tower.

the arch is sooo sweet. I would go the arch route and have a canvas shop make whatever you want. it is a win win.

I guess the 240 at our marina had a custom canvas made then. Maybe that would be the way to go?

I would call FW direct to see what they can do.. We have the Vista 258 and have both from the factory.
