Hello everyone,I am considering buying a new 180 horizon with the merc 3.0 .Can anyone tell me if the ski locker in the new model is long enough to fit a wake board or ski in it as the older model ie the 170 horizon is too small?
Also can someone give me the total weight including trailer in kilograms :?:

Published dry weight for boat & engine is 1,050kg. Trailer weight is always a guess, but I'd imagine in the ballpark of 450kg (that's 1,000# - if anyone has a better guess on 180 trailer weight, throw it in :) - I've tried to be conservatively high). A full fuel tank will be another 68kg. Don't forget anchors, toys, etc.

I have no idea on the locker size.

Sure thing. 30 years later, I can now write to my 7th grade math teacher and tell him I finally used the metric system  .

I think you need to look around the fourwinns website and check because I asked the same question then one day i snooped a little further and found that it was like 2900 with trailer. Wait here is the new h180 weights :
Approx. Boat & Engine Weight 2310 - 2475 lbs / 1050 - 1120 kg
Trailer Weight 894 lbs / 406 kg

I have a 2007 180 and the ski locker is NOT big enough for a wakeboard. The pictures show a person putting a wakeboard in the compartment but they don't show it in the compartment that is because the compartment tapers down and it WONT FIT!!!!. Either way the 180 is a good boat and I hope the above answers your questions.

Thanks for the heads up on the ski locker it is a concern just wondering if it would fit a water ski instead ?
This seems to be the boats only shortcoming from what I can gather
thanks
Ardy

Welcome to the board Ardy. I have a 220H and a wakeboard does not fit very well in my ski locker. I'm assuming that the locker on what you are looking at is either the same size or a little smaller. I can fit 2 pairs of skis in there no problem, and the wakeboard itself DOES fit. It is the bindings that don't fit in there all that well.

If you are a wakeboarder and are getting a tower or ski arch, I'd highly recommend getting at least one board rack to mount on the tower/arch.

Not sure if this helps but I can fit two skis and a wakeboard in my Horizon 190 ski locker, maybe you want to step up to the 190. I got a 07 190 for cheaper then I could have gotten a 08 180.

2900 kilograms? That's almost as much as my 240 on the trailer with toys and full fuel & water.

Small ski's fit in the locker, not our Obrien's though. Can't get them in. We're ended up using our locker for the tops and poles and paddle.

Pet your locker must be bigger than my 07 180 because man it does not fit no way no how period. It tapers in the front very quickly and in the back there is limited room.
