I'm curious if anyone has ever put a sub box under the passenger back to back lounge seat in their boat (standard seating). I'm thinking that would be the best place to hide one and not lose much storage space in my 99 220. Has anyone seen/heard/done this? I can't get to my boat and was just curious as I'm wanting to add an 8 or 10 in a downfire box under there. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Skert

Sounds like a great idea, unfortunately I haven't seen anything like that yet. Go for it and post some pics.

Not enough room except maybe for an 8in sub, but you'd have to have the area sealed air tight otherwise you won't get any woofing out of your subwoofer.

Any place you can hide a subwoofer enclosure would work fine; bass is for the most part omnidirectional and penetrates most any kind of material one would find on our boats. Being inside that seat storage wouldn't hinder the sound.
