Last summer I had one of the stern pop up cleats pull through. No damage to the fiberglass. The nuts just came undone over the years and it pulled out. Well I just order a new one, $70 later, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to reach it through the engine compartment to put washers and bolts on. Anyone else had this problem or have suggestions. It's on a 2005 200 horizion with sunsport seating.

Thanks.

Have any photos? Is there anything in the area that can be removed to gain access or do you think this clean was installed prior to upper and lower parts of the boat were combined at the factory?

If there is absolutely no way to access the back of the cleat, you may have to install an access panel.

I'm not sure. I can see them through the engine compartment, I just can't get to them. I'm thinking if I had a long enough extention and taped the washer to the socket maybe I could reach it. Or maybe my 7 year old can get in there.

I have a 7 year old as well. They come in handy for things like that. I have a smaller one (age 3) just in case the bigger one doesn't fit.
