I installed a pair of rod holders similar to these on my '95 190. The rod holders are removable, leaving just the base, which is not too much of an obstacle. You may even be able to use them for mounting other accessories. Remember that not all rod holder brands are interchangeable with other brands of bases. Pick a good brand. I was able to thru bolt 3 of the 4 hole locations, but had to use a wood screw on the other hole location. Plan ahead and see what will work.

I included a picture of someone else's boat to show the area.
