i ordered a keel guard through my local bass pro shop instead of going through megaware and i got a free scuffbuster with it! the install wasn't to difficult but i did get off line a bit here and there (nothing more than 1/8" or so). it was pretty easy to install the only thing i don't like is i had to go over 2 sets of strakes or chines (not sure which they are called). the underside of the strakes it stuck very well but on the top it seems to have a bit of a small spot where it did not contact all the way. it's very small but i was wondering for those that have these have you had the same happen?

I'm worried with it sitting in the water for a long period of time that this part getting penetrated by water make it loose and start to come off. i was thinking of taking some type of epoxy and filling those areas in to complete the seal. it's VERY small area but still being cautious.

I'll have to try and get some pics of it soon.

If you just installed your Keel Guard. Warm the Keel Guard with a heat gun. The Keel Guard will mold and the addhesive should grab. The keel guard should make 100% contact with your Keel. I have no experience with trying to make up a gap between the Keel Guard and the hull after the fact. If you think appling the Keel guard was anything but easy, wait till your Keel Guard needs to be removed.
