Hey Guys and gals!

I know it was mentioned a while back, but am looking at a travel cover for our 180.

I really like the Four Winns cover, but I've been getting the impression that it's not available for the 180. 200 and up yes and soon to be the 190. Any one able to confirm or disprove this?

Alternatively, any other covers to suggest/reccomend?

Thanks!

I know this doesn't help, but you might call FW, ask for tech support, and ask them about it. You'll have the answer straight from the horse's mouth and let them know there's one more person who wants it. Not trying to quash the question, I'd just like to think that if they don't make one now, there's a better chance they will, the more people are asking for them. And I don't trust dealers to pass that kind of info back up the chain.

Sorry to side track this thread. Rob but did I recall you saying that you were going to try a 4 blade ss prop ,If so what was the out come ,how well did it work? As far as the cover goes have you thought of buying the necessary materials and having it stitched up exactly how you want it, the outcome being a custom cover.
Just a thought

Have you tried trailering with the FW cockpit and bow cover? I just pulled mine yesterday for an hour long trip on the highway and I must say it didn't move at all. I know that FW does not recommend this practice, but it seemed to work out O.K. Mind you, I have a second cockpit and bow cover, so I use one only for towing and indoor winter storage.

If that is not the route you are looking for, the next best thing would be to visit a local canvas shop, and have one made. I have seen some really nice top quality custom covers for trailering.

I bought a cover from the below link and bought the trailor straps that they offer. I purchased the $209 one with many colors to choose from. It appears to be great quality.

No 4 blade yet. Still winterized and we got a fantastic round of freezing rain mixed with snow overnight and this morning. Not impressed. I'll post when I do have some experience and info for all!

We have a travel cover that the dealer included with the boat. Not happy with it. We have towed with the FW boaw and cockpit covers on it it works fine, just don't want to stretch them and get them covered with road junk and bugs. I may look at getting a custom cover made by the local shop but they're so busy if I book now, I may get in for September. They do alot of OEM for other mfgs and the public is a small portion of their business.

The semi custom cover is also an option. How did it fit on your 180?

I will update you May 10th when i take delivery. Definetly marine quality fabric though. Feels thicker then a typical factory snap on cover.

Sorry if it isnt close up enough. The cover has an elastic that keeps it tight around the whole boat. It can be hard to get on with one person. Every 2 feet or so there is a loop strap so you can run straps from one side of the hull to the other for trailoring. As you can see in the picture i only have one strap attached which i dont even need when it is parked.
