Both types of antenna are installed in the port side of the bow area, near the windsheild. There's a circular slightly recessed mounting space for the antenna. The old style antenna takes up that entire space, maybe 5" in diameter? The style I have is maybe 2.5 - 3" in diameter. Going by memory here. The mushroom type shape is the same.

Mine Sirius would work some days and other days I could only get a few stations on the Clarion reciever. The dealer fixed it 2 or 3 times in 2007 but I got tired or bringing it in. That's why I let it expire last year when the free trial ran out. The FM and CD functions work well.

My 6 month subscription to Sirus that came with the boat purchase ran out back in November, and Sirus did not work when I had the boat out last at the end of March. I use my IPOD 99% of the time but was messing around with the stereo last week and discovered the Sirus was opperating again. I did not sign back up for the service. Anyone know any promotions or reasons why Sirus service was reactivated?

When I bought the boat in Aug of 06 the dealer had to change the sirius box, after that no problems, oh my one year free subscribition well I'm into my 3rd year owning the boat and I still get sirius free.

My Sirius worked intermitenty from the beginning, some days working on all stations; some days only a few. The dealer always got it to work when I took the time to bring it in. I let the 6 month free subscription expire, it just wasn't worth the trouble.
