 Post subject: intermittent trim guage

the trim reading on my 2001 horizon volvo 3.0 is intermittent at best-any ideas on getting it back going properly?? thanks alot

VDO gauges? Could be a bad sender or sender connection at the drive or bad ground (including at the helm).
